Julie has experience in conducting educational assessments and providing useful strategies to assist children to achieve their potential in the classroom. In addition to using evidence based practices, such as cognitive behavioural therapy, Julie uses a number of other therapeutic techniques from her ‘bag of tricks’ to help engage children in the counselling process and get the best outcomes for children and their families.
Apart from being a children’s counsellor, Julie is a mother, aunty, expert lego builder, a patient listener to detailed minecraft explanations and she can sing along to Frozen’s Let it Go. She finds it immensely rewarding to help children overcome challenges and difficulties in their lives and watch their self-confidence grow.
